Do you have an issue with your life or health insurer? OLHI can guide you through the complaint process and provide a free and impartial review of eligible complaints.
How OLHI can help
The OmbudService for Life & Health Insurance (OLHI) provides a free and impartial review of complaints involving life and health insurance companies in Canada when they fall within its mandate.
OLHI can help you:
- Get answers to your questions about the complaint process.
- Submit your complaint to your insurer if you have not already done so.
- Contact your insurer on your behalf if it has not responded within 90 days.
- Have your complaint reviewed if you are not satisfied with your insurer’s final position.
Before you begin
- First, submit your complaint directly to your insurer.
- You can then contact OLHI if the insurer has not responded within 90 days or if you are not satisfied with its final position.
