Mary Nemeth retired as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company. Prior to that role, and over 25 years, Ms. Nemeth occupied several senior roles at Wawanesa Insurance, including Senior Vice President & Chief Risk Officer, and Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Wawanesa Life.
Ms. Nemeth currently sits on several boards including the Board of Management for the Canada Revenue Agency. She is the Vice Chair and Finance/Risk Committee Chair at Digital Public Square, and a board member and Finance & Administration Committee Chair at United Way Winnipeg.
Ms. Nemeth holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba. She has also earned several professional designations, including ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors, FLMI from LOMA, and GBA from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
